Humble root canal begins with the drilling of the tooth from the top. About half the tooth is removed so that our dentist can have access to the base of the tooth. That's where the pulp and nerve lie. They will be removed, after which the canals are cleaned, disinfected, and sealed. The entire treatment may take more than one session, and if so then a temporary crown is placed to protect the tooth between visits. Some time is taken for the tooth to heal fully, after which you will be fitted for a permanent crown to restore the tooth to its full size, appearance, and function.
